We’re Hiring: Join Our Team at SEBI-Livestock

Please note that the application period is now closed for these positions.

SEBI-Livestock (SEBI-L) is a dynamic and innovative organisation tasked with improving livestock data and evidence in low- and middle-income countries to support better informed decision making. In addition to convening the Livestock Data for Decisions (LD4D) network, we provide core data and monitoring services to the Gates Foundation to assist in the tracking of their livestock investments.

We’re excited to announce three new opportunities to join our growing team as we expand our impact and capabilities.

Information Scientist (Apply by 10 December 2025) Manage metadata, ensure data accuracy, and improve data discoverability for SEBI-L users, the Gates Foundation’s Livestock Pillar, and the broader livestock data community. You’ll develop information catalogues covering livestock datasets, projects, policy documents, agricultural census reports, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience with information architecture.

Data Analyst Programmer (Apply by 5 January 2026) – Help us build scalable, tested data pipelines to process livestock and aquaculture data for the SEBI-L platform, supporting our delivery to the Gates Foundation. We’re seeking a methodical, rigorous and service-oriented individual to transform and import livestock data into our systems.

Research Assistant – Livestock Insights & Modelling (Apply by 5 January 2026) – Contribute to evidence-based decision-making by reviewing literature, building datasets for mathematical models, and supporting the development of our automated systematic mapping tool, LitXpress. This role requires excellent attention to detail and a service-focused approach.

These positions offer the opportunity to make a real difference in supporting livestock development decisions across low- and middle-income countries. We encourage interested candidates to review the full job descriptions and submit their applications before the respective deadlines.
