Gareth Salmon

Dr. Gareth Salmon is a livestock production and development generalist who holds that "a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." He leads a talented, multidisciplinary group of researchers who provide decision makers with robust data and evidence, balancing academic rigour with the agility to respond quickly and efficiently to their needs.

Gareth grew up on a mixed farm in Cheshire, UK. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and Scotland's Rural College (SRUC), where he investigated the productivity and greenhouse gas emissions intensity of Senegalese dairy production systems.
