Celebrating 10 years of SEBI-Livestock
This year, we marked a decade of work to enhance data and evidence and insights for livestock and aquaculture in low-and middle-income countries.
We are 10 years old! We recently celebrated this milestone at the Roslin Institute at the University of Edinburgh with our local friends and collaborators.
This anniversary marks a decade of dedicated effort to enhance data and evidence and to enabling deeper insights into the livestock and aquaculture sectors in low-and middle-income countries.
It reflects a journey of growth and co-production with our funder, the Gates Foundation, whose trust and confidence have been instrumental in allowing us to evolve into the team that we now are.
It also honours our long-standing and hugely valued partnerships. Our collaborations have enabled us to deliver our work on data innovation, evidence synthesis, modelling, monitoring, learning, gender insights, and Livestock Data for Decisions (LD4D) products.
Most importantly, this anniversary celebrates the tenacity, drive, and brilliance of our SEBI-Livestock team.
During the celebration event, Program Director Dr. Karen Smyth commended the team: “They are a group of talented, diverse individuals who are determined to tackle the most complex challenges. Your refusal to accept "no" as an answer has been the driving force behind our success.”
The livestock development landscape has shifted constantly, and our team will continue to evolve to meet those changing demands head-on.
Many thanks to all our partners and supporters over the years!
